Choosing Equipment for a Lightweight Block Project in Ghana
On October 28, a group of Chinese investors visited HENGDE to explore a proposed lightweight block project in Ghana. They wanted to understand how a production line is configured and what needs to be considered when planning the investment.

Customer Visit and Workshop Tour
Project Background

After discussing their project, the visitors toured the workshop. The team explained the production process around the equipment, from material dosing and mixing through casting, curing, demoulding, trimming, cutting and stacking. The visitors also spent time beside the cutting equipment and looked at the blocks.

Equipment Planning and Investment Considerations
Customer Review Focus
A production line needs to fit the project. The materials available locally, the type and size of blocks, the factory site and the intended daily output all influence the equipment plan. Labour, transportation and installation should also be considered in the budget.
Drawing on HENGDE’s previous project experience in Ghana, the discussion covered the cost items involved in setting up a factory and moving towards production. Local material and labour prices and the final equipment configuration need to be checked for the specific location and project; no single investment figure fits every factory.
