On 10 September 2026, an Ethiopian client signed a gypsum block production-equipment contract with Guangzhou Hengde Construction Technology Co., Ltd. The agreed project centres on a gypsum-based block with holes and grooves. Five rounds of discussion brought the product requirements and equipment solution to the signing stage.
A gypsum product with two additional processing requirements
The client plans to manufacture a new gypsum-based block. Its holes and grooved sections are part of the intended product, so forming the block is only one part of the equipment task. The line solution also has to accommodate those features and their position in the production sequence.
Why the product drawing comes before the equipment list
For a block with holes and grooves, the dimensions of the outside face alone do not define the machine requirement. The engineering brief also needs the hole positions, groove profile and the surfaces used to locate the product during processing. These details determine the tooling and handling interfaces that the equipment must accommodate.
This is the engineering lesson for another buyer considering a similar product. Give the supplier a drawing showing the finished geometry, then ask how each feature will be produced and checked. A conventional block-machine list cannot, by itself, establish the scope of a specialised gypsum product.
Five discussions followed by formal signing
Before the agreement, HENGDE and the client discussed the product requirements and production-line solution over five rounds. The signing took place in HENGDE’s meeting room, where the parties signed the contract and took photographs with the agreement.
The current project stage is contract signing. Equipment manufacturing and delivery preparation are the next planned steps under the agreed solution.
